About this cartoon: With Yasser Arafat gone, Mahmoud Abbas softened his harsh campaign rhetoric and reached out to Israel, which reached back, as leaders of the two sides met for the first time in four years and announced a truce (for awhile at least) and a willingness to pursue further actions toward peace.
