Title: Jordan and the West Bank
Published
: Seattle Post-Intelligencer
Date: Aug. 8, 1988
About this cartoon: Although the West Bank had long been a part of Jordan, King Hussein knew he had a major headache there, with its Palestinian population and militant politics, and ceded control of the land to the Palestinians, led by Yasser Arafat.
Noteworthy: Since the baby "looked like the Palestinians" anyway, it was helpful for the cartoon that Arafat looks distinctive and makes for a very funny baby.
