About this cartoon: Under international pressure for its role in the assassination of a Lebanese official, Syria's Bashir Assad agreed to withdraw its troops in Lebanon... sort of. Pulling back to the borders still leaves a military presence, and Syria is entrenched in most aspects of Lebanon's government and institutions.
