Title: Alfred Hitchcock
Published
: Daily News of Los Angeles
Date: May 1, 1980
About this cartoon: Sir Alfred Hitchcock was considered one of the greatest directors filmmakers of all time. This cartoon plays off the fact that Hitchcock always made a cameo appearance in his own films.
Noteworthy: I'd actually had the notion to show this concept to Hitchcock before his death, thinking the "master of the macabre" kmight enjoy getting to see his obituary while still alive, but I never followed up on this. I thought the idea for this cartoon was good, but the execution was hampered by my weaker drawing skills of the time, and few people seemed to "get" the point here.
