About this cartoon: As the nation moved closer to war with Iraq, President Bush's single-mindedness toward armed conflict seemed evident. He spoke of keeping the peace, but only in the sense of acheiving his military objectives in Iraq.
Noteworthy: I started to think of the peace songs that are generally sung in such situations, and adapted them to Bush's viewpoint; it was fun thinking these up, and yes, I know that the "All we are saying is give war a chance" one has been done before, but it fit as one of the many titles here. This was my last pre-war cartoon, and it drew some very angry responses from people who saw it after the war had begun.
