about this cartoon: | Title:
Weapons of mass propulsion Published: Ventura County Star Date: Sept. 26, 2002 About this cartoon: Saudi Arabia has been a pretty questionable ally. The vast majority of the September 11 terrorists were from there, as was Osama bin Laden, and we are still hostage to their oil; more recently, one of their top law enforcement officials blamed the 9/11 attacks on the Jews (because they "gained" from anti-Muslim sentiments). We've been preoccupied with Iraq and their "weapons of mass destruction," so I made a play on that phrase to make a different point here. Noteworthy: Colorized for the Web. The gray tones in the background are brush effects in Photoshop from the main black-and-white version for print. |
