About this cartoon: Candidates for statewide elected office were increasingly looking outside the Golden State to raise money, and it became more common for fundraisers to be held in Washington D.C., New York and other major cities.
Noteworthy: Reprinted a number of times. I think it's amusing that my widened California could resemble the U.S. without straining a whole lot.
