About this cartoon: California voters faced an unexciting and fairly unappealing choice in the race for governor: four more years of Gray Davis, who'd managed to irritate nearly everybody, or four years of a bumbling novice, Bill Simon.
Noteworthy: A fun cartoon to come up with, and it got a good response from readers, many of whom felt the same way. This image was colorized for the Web.
