More
about this cartoon: | Title:
Feinstein and Boxer Published: California Journal Date: July 1992 About this cartoon: For the first time in any state, California had two female candidates for the U.S. Senate, Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer, and there were a few uneasy male voices. Both won, setting another precedent, and both were later reelcted. Noteworthy: The figure on the state seal, the goddess Minerva, is a very useful character for cartoons on state topics, although I found out she is not always recognized outside of the context of the seal. |
