about this cartoon: | Title:
"Cal" Gore Published: Political Pulse Date: Aug. 25, 2000 About this cartoon: Democratic presidential candidate Al Gore urgently needed California in his electoral vote count, and focused heavily on the state... perhaps too much so, as he narrowly lost the disputed election and might have gained other states if he'd campaigned harder elsewhere. Noteworthy: My first cartoon for the publication Political Pulse (also ran in the Marin IJ on Oct. 4), drawn to follow the Democratic National Convention, held in Los Angeles. |
