about this cartoon: | Title:
Marjorie Knoller Published: Ventura County Star Date: July 17, 2002 About this cartoon: The most notorious and bizarre animal-attack trial ever ended with San Francisco lawyers Robert Noel and Marjorie Knoller convicted on all counts relating to a fatal mauling of a young woman by their huge, uncontrollable attack dogs. From the beginning, both lawyers refused to concede any blame or express any remorse. Nonetheless, a judge overturned Knoller's conviction for second-degree murder and instead she was sentenced to four years in prison, with the likelihood of being out in a mere 14 months. Noteworthy: I think I nailed Knoller's caricature, and others said I had her saying probably exactly what she would be apt to say here. |
