about this cartoon: | Title:
Liking Davis Published: Ventura County Star Date: Sept. 12, 2003 About this cartoon: Democrats -- most of them anyway -- lined up to support their governor and oppose California's recall election. But they all seemed to do it out of party loyalty, and few because they cared much for the man they were defending.. Noteworthy: It was probably redundant to put a "Dems" button on the donkey, but there is this small worry that younger readers don't automativcally know what the familiar donkey and elephant symbols mean, even though they've been a staple of editorial cartoons for generations. |
