More about this cartoon:

Title: Prop. 34
Published: The Sacramento Bee
Date: Sept. 12, 2012
About this cartoon: This proposition would end the death penalty in California (replacing it with life-without-parole), which, as the cartoon shows, is extremely inefficient, endlessly delayed and prohibitively expensive. The Sacramento Bee, in a series of editorials, reversed its longstanding support for the death penalty and came out strongly in favor of this proposition.
