About this cartoon: Census 2000 data was coming out, showing what most already knew: that the Anglo majority was slipping, replaced by a majority-of-minorities, and that the Hispanic population surge was leading the demographic shakeup.
Noteworthy: This was the alternative cartoon to my “Que Pasa” cartoon that the IJ decided not to run.
