about this cartoon: | Title:
Welcome to California Published: Daily News of Los Angeles Date: Dec. 22, 1983 About this cartoon: This was a time when in-migration to the state far exceeded the out-migration, when California was still the American ideal, and at a time when harsh weather elsewhere encouraged more people to move to the Golden State... all of which helped drive up housing prices, increase traffic and strain transit and social services. Noteworthy:A fun cartoon to draw, but at that point in my life I had to imagine what tracks through deep snow must look like. |
