About this cartoon: A local story with global connections: a study around Los Angeles found that freeways and other human developments were cutting into wildlife habitat areas -- pumas (or mountain lions) were the focus of the study -- and the physical divisions were preventing mating, which ultimately could mean extinction if the animals can't connect with one another.
