About this cartoon: The problem of corrosive acid rain was beginning to enter the national consciousness.
Noteworthy: Fortunately I was able to find a movie still from "Singing in the Rain," prompting a coworker to exclaim, "Poor Gene Kelly!" Reprinted several times, including in the book Best Editorial Cartoons of the Year.
