about this cartoon: | Title:
When I'm Secretary of Interior... Published: Daily News of Los Angeles Date: Jan. 8, 1981 About this cartoon:James Watt had not yet made himself a household name as the most environmentally-unfriendly Interior Secretary ever, but was making his intentions known even prior to his Senate confirmation. Noteworthy: This is among the first Watt cartoons ever drawn. My editors were a bit uncomfortable with it, wondering why I was going after this nominee to a not-usually-controversial Cabinet post. I think this cartoon was very prescient. |
