about this cartoon: | Title:
Macs in the newsroom Published: Editor & Publisher Date: May 9, 1998 About this cartoon: The Apple Macintosh computer's days were numbered, said so many stories, as its market share and profits dropped quarter after quarter (prior to the iMac and Steve Jobs' resurrection of the company). But the Mac was and is still the industry standard in graphics and photo departments throughout the industry. Noteworthy: I felt the Macintosh needed a bit of affirmation, especially as I was then working in Bill Gates' backyard, Seattle, and some of the newspaper staffers there were wondering why anybody should care if Apple went out of business with all the Windows systems around. |
