about this cartoon: | Title:
Princess Di and the media Published: Editor & Publisher Date: Sept. 13, 1997 About this cartoon: The death of Britain's popular Princess Di was shocking, as her car spun out of control while trying to escape the paparazzi that hounded her everywhere. The public was infuriated that the relentless pursuit by the tabloid media led to her untimely death. Of course, this irresponsible media story was itself an enormous media story... and people bought those papers to read all about it, as they bought the papers to read about Di while she was alive. Noteworthy: This was an attempt to put blame on all the parties that contributed to this senseless tragedy. |
