about this cartoon: | Title:
What the press says, hears Published: Editor & Publisher Date: Feb. 7, 1998 About this cartoon: In calm moments, most newspapers will talk about their quest for objectivity and seriousness, and their disdain for the sensationalistic. But when stuff breaks, especially if there is a competitive media situation, much of those words are forgotten again. Noteworthy: This is an acknowledged parody of a Gary Larson "The Far Side" cartoon about what we say to dogs and what they hear (we lecture them, but they just hear their name being called). |
