More about this cartoon:

Title: Leonid Brezhnev
Published
: Daily News of Los Angeles
Date: Nov. 12, 1982
About this cartoon: Leonid Brezhnev was the last major hard-line dictator of the Soviet Union, tougher than his predecessor Khruschev, but less deadly than Stalin. He built up the Soviet military might while seeing the Soviet economy deteriorate, a condition that would eventually end the Soviet Union's run as a nation.
Noteworthy: This cartoon made use of a chemical paper called Duoshade, and the "Gray" lines were essentially painted on with a photo-developer solution that made hidden shading patterns visible.
