About this cartoon: Jerry Garcia, lead singer and spiritual center of the band that carried the 1960s along for decades, died an not-unexpected death after a life of hard living and poor health.
Noteworthy: I hadn't been a "Deadhead," but caught the band in Seattle not long before Garcia's death; many if not most spoectators were there because we knew we'd likely never see him alive again.
