about this cartoon: | Title:
Reapportionment Published: Daily News of Los Angeles Date:Sept. 10, 1981 About this cartoon: The dominant party in the legislature, in this case the Democrats, was engaged in the fine art of reapportionment to its best advantage, otherwise called gerrymandering, to increase its advantage. Noteworthy: I was trying to do an M.C. Escher-type drawing, but did not know how to make the images tesselate properly, so it's a relatively crude arrangement of shapes; it was a very popular cartoon anyway. |
