about this cartoon: | Title:
Afghanistan & Pakistan Published: Date: Feb. 27, 2002 About this cartoon: The danger in Afghanistan is partly from the chaos and constant factional fighting there, where it seems like every Afghani wants to make war against every other Afghani. But many reports from U.S. correspondents identify neighboring Pakistan as a far more dangerous place, full of extremists and a harbor for terrorists, and one of the most virulently anti-American places on earth, a point made clear with the kidnapping and brutal murder of U.S. journalist Daniel Pearl. Noteworthy: Drawn fairly quickly and without reference images, i think this makes its point about the differences in the types of dangers posed by these two countries. |
