about this cartoon: | Title:
Bradley and Gore Published: Seattle Post-Intelligencer Date: April 26, 1999 About this cartoon: The 2000 election for the Democrats was shaping up as a battle between former Sen. Bill Bradley (a former NBA player) and Vice President Al Gore, who -- like most veeps -- had to contend with all the political baggage of his boss. Noteworthy: Too bad Bradley dropped out of the race. He was a much easier caricature than Gore, plus he offered cartoonists the chance for all kinds of basketball metaphors. |
