Declare them both Prez Published: Marin Independent Journal Date: Dec.1, 2000 About this cartoon: After every presidential election, there are folks who drive around with "Don't blame me, I voted for (whomever)" bumper stickers, including Nader ones following the 1996 election. This time, they COULD be blamed for costing Gore a clean victory on election day, pulling enough votes to swing 25 electoral votes, the same number as in Florida, whose murky election count held up the outcome of the race for weeks. Noteworthy: I suspect there will still be the customary "Don't blame me, I voted for Nader" stickers anyway... |
