The environmental president Published: Seattle Post-Intelligencer Date: June 1, 1992 About this cartoon: George Bush, oilman and driller of national wilderness areas, for some reason declared himself the "environmental president," so I needed to come up with a cartoon as bizarre as that statement. Noteworthy:One of the best parts of editorial cartooning is being able to do wild surreal transformations of people and things. The procedure is to draw the first and last steps, then calculate what the middle steps would need to look like. | ||||||||||||||
