about this cartoon: | Title:
Bill Clinton Road Map Co. Published: Marin Independent Journal Date: July 12, 2001 About this cartoon: U.S. Rep. Gary Condit denied that he was ever romantically involved with Chandry Levy, a young Washington intern whose disappearance triggered a nationwide manhunt. Condit's denials (he finally admitted an affair) and foot-dragging on the investigation took on a Clintonesque tone, have complicated the Levy case for police, and have likely ruined his political career. Noteworthy: As of this writing, no word on Levy's fate. In the cartoon, the text of Condit's map says "Bill Clinton Road Map Co." in case it's not readable. |
