Title: The Homerization of voting
Published: Ventura County Star
Date: July 17, 2007
About this cartoon: The failings and arrogance of George W. Bush's administration are so numerous and appalling, it makes oone wonder how he could have been not only elected but re-elected. Yet there were those who voted against Al Gore and later John Kerry based on their stiff personalities, with commentary in 2002 that Bush was more "someone you could have a beer with." What kind of basis for voting is that? And would you really want a president taking time away from matters of world importance to have a beer with you? Apparently, some Americans do. Homer Simpson attitudes aren't just limited to that cartoon character, it seems.
