About this cartoon: Most politicians, no matter how poorly regarded they might have been, seem to gain in stature simply for having been around a long time, gaining an "elder Statesman" status, and evn Richard Nixon did to some degree.
Noteworthy: I drew Nixon in several post-presidency cartoons (including his obituary) , but my first published cartoons in college came just after he had resigned from office in 1974.
