about this cartoon: | Title:
A giant step backward Published: Seattle Post-Intelligencer Date: Nov. 29, 1987 About this cartoon: I didn't have too many positive things to say about Ronald Reagan, but his signing of the INF (Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces) treaty with the USSR's Mikhail Gorbachev was a giant step backwards from the brink of war and a great step towards peace. Noteworthy: If I recall correctly, this cartoon was done during a period in which I was doing cartoons-to-order for articles and columns in the Sunday Seattle P-I opinion section. I didn't get to choose the topics, but tried to make editorial cartoons out of what I was assigned. |
