about this cartoon: | Title:
Taking in the view Published: Marin Independent Journal Date: Sept. 28, 2001 About this cartoon: The Sept. 11 terrorist attack had ripples in so many ways across the U.S.; locally, the popular viewpoint in Marin of San Francisco (at the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge) was shut down, and the bridge itself closed to foot traffic for weeks. Noteworthy: The disruption of this small bit of life really brought home the impact of the terrorism on everyday American living. This was intended to be both a local and a national comment at once. |
