More about this cartoon:

Title: Border crossing signs
Published: Ventura County Star
Date: Jan. 23, 2007
About this cartoon: A local company, Technicolor, announced the axing of a huge percentage of its workforce so that it could transfer operations to Mexico, where labor would run vastly cheaper, and many other U.S. companies have done the same. Is this really what NAFTA and free trade agreements intended?
Noteworthy: The startling signs of running civilians can be seen on I-5 approaching San Diego, warning motorists to beware of illegals trying to cross the freeway.
