about this cartoon: | Title:
Downsizing Published: Seattle Post-Intelligencer Date: March 21, 1994 About this cartoon: The mania of "downsizing" -- otherwise known as layoffs -- was in vogue in the 1990s as corporations sought to increase profits by cutting part of a major expense, their workforces. Nevermind the social costs... or the impact on the overall economy. Noteworthy: The car may not be technically accurate, but I think this was a cartoon with a useful point not made by too many other cartoonists. |
