About this cartoon: Ventura County's median home sales price for existing homes was $457,140 in May, up a whopping 25 percent from a year earlier, and the median sales price for homes in general (including condos) hit $396,000.
Noteworthy: I like the near-abination of this. Housing prices here, by the way, are not as bad as those I saw in my previous job in Marin County, but they're still high enough to be out of reach for a large majority of would-be buyers.
