about this cartoon: | Title:
Quixotic houses Published: Ventura County Star Date: July 30, 2002 About this cartoon: Housing prices in Ventura County, like most of California, are getting out of the reach of the average person. This newspaper had just done a story about "tweens," people making too much money to qualify for assistance programs, but not enough money to afford to buy a house. Noteworthy: Most of my "singing" cartoons (see the Sing-along section of this web site) can be sung, but this time I deliberately mangled the meter and held the song to its first line to make a point. |
