about this cartoon: | Title:
Strings attached Published: Marin Independent Journal Date: Jan. 28, 2001 About this cartoon: George W. Bush's first act as President was to overturn eight years of Clinton's policy of not attaching anti-abortion restrictions to international family planning aid, and to return to his father's policy of imposing U.S. anti-abortion politics on the world. Noteworthy: It took a few tries to come up with an approach to this cartoon that made my point strongly enough but was not too harsh for my editors. |
