About this cartoon: Despite his many appalling actions, policies, statements and tweets, not to mention constant lying and frequent favoring of Russian interests over American ones, Republicans in both the House and Senate (and nationwide) have consistently defended President Trump... at least in public. Even mild disapproval of Trump will guarantee a fierce reaction from Trump and his avid supporters, enough to make office-holders fearful for their jobs. What they say privately is another matter entirely. I'm quite certain that, whenever the Trump Era ends, these same Republicans will come out and declare how they resisted Trump's excesses all along. Yeah, right.
