About this cartoon: The U.S.Supreme Court issued a pair of landmark rulings relating to gay marriage: In the first, it ruled that gay couples deserved the same rights as straight couples in terms of hospital visitations, legal wills and other such matters. In the second, it declined to overrule a lower court that found that California's anti-gay Prop. 8 was unconstitutional, paving the way for gay weddings to resume in the Golden State, which began almost immediately after the court's ruling.
