about this cartoon: | Title:
Two Palestinian states Published: Jewish Bulletin of Northern Calif. (San Francisco) Date: Jan. 5, 2001 About this cartoon: Mideast, peace efforts hit another dead-end as Yasser Arafat turned his back on a generous package of concessions including his long-sought Palestinian state, holding out for a relatively new demand of "right of return" for all descendants of Palestinians who fled Israel during its founding. If all these individuals moved into Israel they might comprise a numeric majority, effectively ending the Jewish state by giving it a Palestinian majority. Noteworthy: This cartoon drew some anti-Semitic email. |
