about this cartoon: | Title:
Herding cats Published: Jewish Bulletin of Northern Calif. (San Francisco) Date: March 8, 2002 About this cartoon: Given the daily death toll in Israel and Palestine and the feeling the peace process was dead, a surprise peace proposal from Saudi Arabia was the first sign of hope in a very long time, even if it was completely lacking in specifics. But it begs the question: could the Saudis really persude all the Arab governments and factions to go along with its proposal? Noteworthy: This is somewhat dependent on one realizing that "herding cats" is a humorous metaphor for a virtually impossible task. |
