About this cartoon: President Bush cozied up to Israel's Ariel Sharon, not only reiterating his support for Israel but also for nearly all of Sharon's present policies and plans to unilaterally withdraw from Gaza and parts of the West Bank, as well as backing a ban on the right of Palestinians to flood back into Israel. Bush declared this would "jump start" the peace process. Not surprisingly, the Palestinians were not exactly jumping with joy over Bush's stance.
