about this cartoon: | Title:
Mad cow disease Published: Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles Date: Jan. 9, 2004 About this cartoon: The first evidence of Mad Cow Disease was found in the U.S. in Washington State, setting off fear and foreign boycotts of U.S. beef, much as what happened in Britain. Noteworthy: Kosher meat isn't foolproof, but offers more protections from a health standpoint and is less likely to have involved some of the unsafe (and repugnant) ingredients previously fed to cattle (which has included parts of other cattle, a rather cannibalistic thing to feed those innocent herbivores). |
