about this cartoon: | Title:
Palestinian state protests Published: Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles Date: April 1, 2005 About this cartoon: For many years there have been rallies and calls for the creation of a Palestinian state a legitimate concern with the implied message that things will calm down and anger toward the Israelis will ease once this becomes a reality. But as this cartoon suggests (and as rhetoric is just beginning to be heard in the U.S. Secretary of State's office), there's a new protest waiting in the wings. Look for screams about "a nation divided" as soon as Gaza and the West Bank become the components of a new Palestinian state. |
