about this cartoon: | Title:
Red Cross, Red Crescent... Published: Jewish Bulletin of Northern Calif. (San Francisco) Date: November 23, 2001 About this cartoon: The International Red Cross has shut out the Israeli counterpart for decades, making up excuses about "not allowing other religious symbols" or such. The head of the American Red Cross resigned as a protest for the obvious bias against the Jewish version. Noteworthy: Published in black-and-white- of course, but here is a good example of how color can sometimes be quite useful. |
