About this cartoon: Israel, having moved forces into southern Lebanon, now was faced with the dilemma of how to pull its troops out again without giving up the territory to hostile Syrian-controlled forces, which is more or less what did occur sixteen years later.
Noteworthy: This was the final cartoon I drew for the Daily News of Los Angeles on my final day working there, but they pulled it. The L.A. Jewish Bulletin (long since morphed into the Jewish Journal) was able to use it, fortunately.
