About this cartoon: The Republican-controlled U.S. Senate, led by Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, barely went through the motions of an impeachment trial (calling no witnesses despite bombshell revelations that supported the charges) and acquitted President Donald Trump on a party-line vote. Trump immediately moved to increase his powers and exact vengeance upon those who had testified against him.
